Job summary

Tandem Diabetes Care is seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor to oversee pump production operations at our San Diego site. You will lead production planning, scheduling, WIP tracking, and ensure compliance with cGMP, SOPs, and regulatory readiness.

Ideal candidates bring 5 years of supervisory experience in a medical device or related field, strong knowledge of ERP systems, and hands-on assembly tooling expertise.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent.
• 5 years' experience in Instrumentation, Biomedical Industries, or Consumer Electronics.
• 2 years' experience in a lead or supervisory role.
• Experience with production and inventory control software (ERP).
• Proven experience in effectively leading an assembly team.
• Experienced with supervising assembly work: Working under magnification.
• Experience with plastics components, adhesives, and fixtures.

Responsibilities

• Supervises pump production and schedules, including production planning, coordination, WIP tracking, and materials/labor variance controls.
• Coordinates with Manufacturing Engineering on production issues to ensure immediate resolution.
• Promotes process improvements by developing and implementing programs to improve manufacturing output or quality.
• Tracks key performance measures and ensures efficient use of materials, equipment and personnel.
• Provides direction to employees and supervises staffing, training, and systems requirements.
• Ensures compliance with Privacy/HIPAA and other regulatory requirements.
• Other responsibilities as assigned by management.
