Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Project Engineer / Technical Manager to lead the development, sustainment, and compliance of POWER Testing and Energization (PTE) focused training. You will coordinate with the WSP Training department to integrate courses into Horizon LMS and deliver both virtual and in-person sessions.

The role requires 10+ years in electrical training and engineering, with strong knowledge of electrical systems, safety, and governance, and travel up to 50% as needed to support projects and

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 10+ years of experience in the electrical testing industry.
  • Engineer license required (multi-state preferred).
  • Experience in training adult learners and delivering both classroom and virtual training.
  • Highly proficient with electrical engineering principles, practices, and design.
  • Experience with infrastructure planning, design, and program/construction management.
  • Strong knowledge of engineering and electrical construction laws, codes, and regulations.
  • Ability to coordinate and direct subcontractors to complete tasks safely and efficiently.
  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development, tracking, and sustainment of technical training focused on PTE needs.
  • Support project teams in management, tracking, and updates of SMEs and external SMEs.
  • Facilitate classroom and virtual training sessions on safety, technical, and Human Performance topics.
  • Lead and/or support curriculum content, presentations, and communications for staff development.
  • Develop and deliver training with knowledge management and mentoring in PTE and WSP.
  • Analyze program effectiveness and contribute to process improvements and data tracking systems.
  • Support engineering reviews and assess project scope and documentation.
  • Prepare test or commissioning plans and reviews of engineering materials.
  • Coordinate conferences, webinars, and program pre-calls for cross-location alignment.
  • Manage training facilities, scheduling, and travel up to 50% for training activities.
