Didi Hirsch Mental Health Services in California is seeking a Lead Psychologist to conduct comprehensive psychological assessments for adults with mental illness to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning, with at least 50% focus on assessments and supervision. The role includes crisis intervention, intake assessments, individual, group, and family therapy, and professional consultation to staff.

Travel between agency sites may be required, collaborating with a diverse team to apply

Qualifications

• Must be a CA licensed psychologist; 2+ years post licensure preferred.
• Strong knowledge/experience in psychological assessment, including test selection, administration, interpretation and report-writing.
• Familiar with diagnostic concepts and assessment correlates of psychopathologies.
• Minimum 2+ years experience with adults with mental illness in a social/mental health setting.
• Willing to travel between agency sites to provide services in various settings.
• Experience as a clinical supervisor preferred.
• Knowledge of research and statistics is required.
• Working knowledge of agency policies, HIPAA, and related regulations.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• PC skills: word processing, electronic health records, spreadsheets, and related software.
• Ability to use analysis, experience, and judgment to make effective decisions.
• Commitment to team objectives and Didi Hirsch philosophies.
• Ability to adapt to changing needs by acquiring new skills and knowledge.
• Current California driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Some evening work may be required.
• Know and comply with agency policies and documentation guidelines.

Responsabilités

• May supervise psychology interns, practicum students, and staff on testing and therapy.
• May assist in APA internship program through interviews and application reviews.
• Provides professional consultation to multidisciplinary staff on assessments and diagnoses.
• Provides training on administration and interpretation of assessment instruments.
• Achieves proficiency in two or more evidence-based practices for therapy.
• Collaborates with referring clinicians regarding assessment rationale.
• Administers psychological tests including structured interviews and cognitive tests.
• Prepares written assessment reports with strengths and pragmatic treatment recommendations.
• Maintains security of assessment manuals, instruments, and protocols.
• Participates in on-duty therapy coverage and related duties.
• Attends staff and related community agency meetings as required.
