Job summary

Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is seeking a Licensed Psychologist Manager, Corrections to lead psychological services at a state correctional facility. The role combines clinical leadership, program oversight, and staff mentoring to improve inmate mental health outcomes.

You will supervise staff, develop programs, chair committees, ensure clinical quality, and provide expert consultation for treatment planning and accreditation efforts, within a secure corrections environment.

Qualifications

• One year as a Licensed Psychologist MH or Psychologist (Commonwealth job titles or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration)
• One year of experience as a licensed professional psychologist in the treatment of inmates or individuals with mental illness, intellectual disabilities or behavioral dysfunction.

Responsibilities

• Supervise psychological staff, oversee evaluations, administer diagnostic tools, and direct counseling, psychotherapeutic, and crisis intervention procedures
• Develop, implement, and improve psychological services programs, counseling initiatives, policies, procedures, and research activities
• Chair key mental health, suicide prevention, psychiatric review, and critical incident management committees
• Establish clinical competencies and privileges, review clinical work, and evaluate psychological measures
• Review psychological testing results and prepare or evaluate diagnostic, progress, prognostic, and behavior management reports
• Provide guidance for program development, staff training, treatment planning, accreditation efforts, and legal proceedings as an expert witness
