Job summary

Exelon Corporation seeks a seasoned Protection & Control Engineer to lead studies, plans, and designs across generation and transmission facilities. You will provide technical consultation, budget input, and regulatory input while advancing safety and reliability in energy delivery.

Ideal candidates have a Master’s in Engineering or PE license, 8+ years of experience, and strong knowledge of standards, codes, and protective relaying schemes.

Qualifications

• Master of Science degree in Engineering or Licensed Professional Engineer.
• 8+ years of experience in engineering and recognized industry expert (License reduces by one year).
• Advanced knowledge of regulations, guides, standards, codes and engineering principles.
• Ability to analyze and interpret complex electrical and mechanical systems.
• Experience participating in or leading industry committees or publishing technical documents.

Responsibilities

• Performs consultation and training on highly complex and unique technical areas requiring advanced engineering principles. (25%)
• Evaluates complex technical issues requiring specialized knowledge and recommends actions or programs. (25%)
• Leads large specialized technical projects and teams to develop studies, proposals and designs with cost considerations. (25%)
• Participates in technical and industry societies to stay updated on new technologies. (10%)
• Participates in department planning, provides budget recommendations and monitors performance. (10%)
• Acts as expert witness and provides opinions for regulatory/legal proceedings. (5%)
