Job summary

Moog Space and Defense Group seeks an experienced Staff Propulsion Systems Engineer to lead concept-to-production propulsion development for strategic missions. You will perform system analyses, drive design verification, and coordinate with internal/external teams to deliver high-rate production solutions.

The role requires DoD clearance eligibility, strong leadership, and excellent communication. Hybrid work with Niagara Falls NY base and opportunities at other locations are available.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering; MS/PhD preferred.
• 7+ years of progressive propulsion experience; 12 years preferred.
• Experience leading or supporting development projects and interfacing with customers.
• Ability to obtain a DoD security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead propulsion design and development from concept to production for high-rate programs.
• Perform detailed system analyses, component baselining, and cross-supply integration.
• Drive design verification plans across components, subsystems and systems.
• Mentor engineers and guide CAD work in Teamcenter/NX.
• Translate customer requirements into actionable engineering plans and establish SME contacts.
• Support pursuits and guidance to other Moog units; present work to customers.
