Job summary

Stellantis is seeking a Design Systems Engineer to coordinate the technical aspects of base engine design to meet customer requirements, functional objectives, and quality targets. The role covers base engine design and validation with collaboration across functions to ensure program success.

You will lead global cross-functional teams, approve technical decisions, and drive cost reduction while maintaining schedule and quality targets.

Qualifications

  • BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics or related field.
  • Minimum 8 years propulsion system engineering/calibration experience.
  • Understanding of phased gated launch processes for product development.
  • Demonstrated ability to present to executive leadership.
  • Strong cross-functional team management and superior written and oral skills.
  • Self-motivated, able to manage multiple complex assignments simultaneously.
  • Master's degree in Engineering preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate technical inputs for engine programs and summarize for executive leadership reviews.
  • Approve and execute complete engine development and validation plans.
  • Lead global cross-functional teams across departments to drive robust solutions.
  • Drive cost reduction initiatives and supplier/resource assessment efforts.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for all engine-related issues on assigned projects.
  • Ensure adherence to all project commitments and timelines.
