Job summary

RTX, a leading aerospace and defense company, is hiring a Principal Engineer – Propulsion for an onsite role in Tucson, AZ. You will apply advanced propulsion technologies to integrate propulsion systems for missiles and space vehicles, coordinating with management, production, and subcontractors.

Responsibilities include leading propulsion development projects, delivering technical presentations, and interfacing with customers to identify needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in STEM with 8+ years of relevant experience.
• 8 years of propulsion tech experience in solid or air-breathing propulsion systems.
• Experience from conceptual design through final test/assembly of solid propulsion systems.
• Ability to obtain/maintain a US security clearance; US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Apply advanced technologies and principles to propulsion system integration for missile and space vehicles.
• Review manufacturing processes and coordinate with subcontractors on propulsion system design and production.
• Lead program planning discussions and present technical capabilities and directions to management/government.
• Manage propulsion development projects and subcontracts; review data and change requests; oversee supplier operations.
• Develop and deliver technical presentations to management and government.
• Interface with customers to identify user needs and drive program success.
