We are seeking a reliable and skilled Apartment Maintenance Technician to join our team at Lincoln Meadows Apartments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the overall functionality and appearance of the property by performing routine and emergency repairs, troubleshooting maintenance issues, and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for residents.
Key Responsibilities:
• General Maintenance & Repairs: Perform routine maintenance tasks such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and appliance repairs.
• Preventative Maintenance: Conduct inspections and preventative maintenance on building systems, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing.
• Work Orders: Respond to and complete resident service requests in a timely manner.
• Emergency Repairs: Address urgent maintenance issues, including leaks, power failures, and HVAC malfunctions.
• Unit Turnovers: Assist in preparing vacant apartments for new tenants by repairing, painting, cleaning, and replacing fixtures as needed.
• Compliance & Safety: Follow all local, state, and federal safety regulations, including OSHA guidelines and company policies.
• Inventory & Supplies: Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and request orders when necessary.
• Collaboration: Work with property management and outside vendors to coordinate repairs and improvements.
Qualifications & Requirements:
• Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of apartment maintenance or general maintenance experience required.
• Skills: Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, appliance troubleshooting/repair and other general repairs.
• Certifications (Preferred): HVAC certification, EPA Universal, or other relevant certifications.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand/walk for long periods, climb ladders, and work in various weather conditions.
• Availability: Must be able to work Monday - Friday from 8am - 5pm with a 1 hour lunch break, including one week on call every month including the weekend (EMERGENCY CALLS ONLY).
• Driver’s License: Valid driver’s license with a reliable mode of transportation.
