Job summary

Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. is seeking a motivated professional to join our PROS Group, supporting small capital projects under $5M across North America. You will help with strategic planning, turnaround prep, and outage execution in Hydrogen and ASU facilities. Hybrid work schedules are available and training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of SAP and SAP Project Systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Solid planning and organizational skills.
• Leadership and clear communication abilities.
• Basic accounting principles and cost tracking.

Responsibilities

• Create SAP project; route Capital Project Request for approval.
• Submit Capitalizations on monthly WIP report and provide updates.
• Submit Capital Asset Disposal Requests and monitor approvals.
• Create capital project cost reports and close SAP project structures.
• Support project accounting and accounts payable with task updates.

Air Products is seeking a motivated professional to join our Project Resource and Outage Support (PROS) Group, where you'll play a vital role in supporting small capital projects valued under $5 million across our North American operations. In this role, you will contribute to strategic planning, turnaround preparation, and outage execution while helping ensure operational excellence at our Hydrogen (H/HyCO) and Air Separation Unit (ASU) facilities. Job Responsibilities included but not limited to

• Create assigned SAP project, route Capital Project Request, and monitor for approval
• Submit Capitalizations as directed on monthly WIP report. Provide status update for project engineers and gatekeeping report
• Submit Capital Asset Disposal Requests and monitor for approval
• Create capital project cost reports as directed
• Close SAP project structures as directed
• Act on reports from project accounting and accounts payable to update projects and resolve issues.
• Maintain an active list of sites with Cost Centers, Profit Centers, contract end dates, and DOAs for EGC region.
• SAP Power User for Project Systems
• Designate new worker SAP roles.
• Support users with complex questions and issues that may arise.
• Provide training as needed to new and existing resources within the group.
• Works professionally and harmoniously with co-workers, supervisors, management, support personnel, program participants, and business-related persons
• Applies positive and constructive attitude toward resolution of problems and conflicts
• Accepts direction, feedback, and supervision
• Demonstrates ability to remain calm in demanding situations
• Ability to work within and promote a teamwork philosophy
• Makes good use of time, completing assigned tasks in a timely manner
• Ability to demonstrate and perform efficiently and reliably all categories of this document.
• Able to achieve various State mandated certifications (TWIC, OSHA, etc.) and other requirements as may be deemed necessary.
• Pass Criminal background investigation. Individuals will be subject to pre-employment, reasonable cause periodic, random, and post-accident drug and alcohol testing.
• High ethical standards - unwilling to compromise on worker safety and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Demonstrates positive, supportive, and cooperative behavior in interacting with co-workers, supervisors and management.
• Maintains confidentiality of written and verbal information pertaining to Air Products and Chemicals, Inc., its staff, management and participating onsite affiliates.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of SAP
• Strong understanding of all Microsoft applications
• Strong organizational and planning skills
• Strong leadership and communication abilities
• Basic understand of accounting principles
• Role model within Project Engineering function
• High ethical standards - unwilling to compromise on worker safety and regulatory compliance requirements
• Organizational credibility - able to influence business area, engineering and manufacturing managers in decision making process
• 5-15 years' experience in plant projects
• Obtain TWIC, passport and pass refinery background checks
