Job summary

Air Products is seeking a Lead Project Technician to support small capital projects and outages across North American operations. You will create SAP projects, monitor capitalization, and provide status updates to project engineers while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Hybrid work schedules are available. Ideal candidates have 5–15 years of plant/project experience and are capable of leading teams across engineering and operations.

• Strong organizational and planning skills.
• Strong leadership and communication abilities.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles.

Responsibilities

• Create assigned SAP project, route Capital Project Request, and monitor for approval.
• Submit Capitalizations as directed on monthly WIP report.
• Provide status updates for project engineers and gatekeeping report.
• Submit Capital Asset Disposal Requests and monitor for approval.
• Create capital project cost reports as directed.
• Close SAP project structures as directed.

Air Products is seeking a motivated professional to join our Project Resource and Outage Support (PROS) Group, where you'll play a vital role in supporting small capital projects valued under $5 million across our North American operations. In this role, you will contribute to strategic planning, turnaround preparation, and outage execution while helping ensure operational excellence at our Hydrogen (H2/HyCO) and Air Separation Unit (ASU) facilities. Provide status update for project engineers and gatekeeping report* Submit Capital Asset Disposal Requests and monitor for approval* Create capital project cost reports as directed* Close SAP project structures as directed* Act on reports from project accounting and accounts payable to update projects and resolve issues.* Maintain an active list of sites with Cost Centers, Profit Centers, contract end dates, and DOAs for EGC region.* SAP Power User for Project Systems* Designate new worker SAP roles.* Support users with complex questions and issues that may arise.* Provide training as needed to new and existing resources within the group.* Works professionally and harmoniously with co-workers, supervisors, management, support personnel, program participants, and business-related persons* Applies positive and constructive attitude toward resolution of problems and conflicts* Accepts direction, feedback, and supervision* Demonstrates ability to remain calm in demanding situations* Ability to work within and promote a teamwork philosophy* Makes good use of time, completing assigned tasks in a timely manner* Ability to demonstrate and perform efficiently and reliably all categories of this document.* Able to achieve various State mandated certifications (TWIC, OSHA, etc.) and other requirements as may be deemed necessary.* Pass Criminal background investigation.
