Job summary

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Project Surveyor to lead survey projects in the Renewables Division. The role focuses on planning, execution, QA/QC, and coordination with the Project Manager to define tasks, budget, and scope.

Ideal candidates have a professional survey license with multi-state licensure and a 4-year degree or 10+ years of consulting experience, plus strong communication and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred and/or 10+ years of experience in a consulting business.
• Professional survey license with multi-state licensure preferred.
• Effective verbal and written communication essential.
• Proven leadership and supervisory skills.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning and implementation of survey projects.
• Serve as SME for survey activities (construction staking, topographic surveying, platting, legal description writing).
• Define project tasks, schedule and resource requirements with Project Manager.
• Evaluate project budget, scope, and fee with Project Manager.
• Comply with and help enforce company standards, policies, and procedures.
• Conduct team meetings to evaluate and coordinate the project.
• Stay current on service trends, technology, software, hardware, and equipment.
• Provide day-to-day guidance and mentoring to project team staff.
• Responsible for quality control and quality assurance related to survey activities.
• Ensure division policies and practices are followed within the survey service.
• Lead by example with solid judgment, trust, honesty, openness, and professionalism.
