Job summary

Southeastern Surveying and Mapping Corp. is seeking a Project Surveyor in Florida to lead survey projects from inception to completion, overseeing field crews and CAD technicians. Qualifications

• Requires Florida PSM licensure eligibility within timeframe
• SIT or CST IV desired
• Bachelor's degree in surveying or related field preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist and supervise all survey activities including conventional, GPS, and laser scanning.
• Create scope of work through client negotiation and coordination with PM, field teams, and CAD technicians.
• Ensure final deliverables meet SSMC standards and Florida Standards of Practice.
• Organize project packets with research materials, scope, work orders, and forms.
• Develop long-term project schedules and prepare cost/time estimates.
• Provide day-to-day guidance to field staff and training as needed.
• Review research before releasing to field teams.
• Lead post-project reviews to identify improvements.
• Organize project folders for scanning and archival.
• Support development of long-term goals and team collaboration.
• Read and interpret engineering plans and construction documents.
• Respond promptly to client/site inquiries.
• Occasionally perform field surveying tasks.
• May perform light office duties.
