Actalent, a leading engineering and sciences services firm, seeks a Project Superintendent for commercial fence construction in the DMV area. You will oversee multiple projects, coordinate field crews and subcontractors, ensure work aligns with plans, and uphold OSHA safety standards on busy job sites.

This contract-to-hire role is based in Capitol Heights, MD, with a pay range of $40.86 to $48.07 per hour and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial construction with oversight of multiple projects.
• Strong blueprint reading to interpret plans and specs.
• Experience managing subcontractors and coordinating crews.
• Hands-on site management in construction.
• Experience with scheduling for field crews and subs.
• Solid OSHA knowledge and safety practices.
• Ability to lead toolbox talks and communicate safety expectations.
• Experience delivering daily reports and progress updates.
• Budget awareness and ability to support project budgets.

Responsibilities

• Oversee multiple commercial fence installation projects simultaneously within the DMV area.
• Ensure projects align with approved plans, blueprints, and specifications.
• Coordinate daily project scheduling and logistics for field crews and subcontractors.
• Confirm crews and subs have necessary materials and information.
• Manage subcontractor performance and address issues.
• Lead toolbox talks to reinforce safety standards.
• Maintain site safety enforcing OSHA guidelines and company safety policies.
• Monitor construction activities for quality, safety, and budget adherence.
• Provide daily progress updates and reports to management.
• Track and manage project schedules to meet milestones.
• Support budget management by monitoring resource usage.
• Perform regular site management duties and coordinate with office staff.
• Visit various project sites daily to oversee work and resolve issues.
