Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Project Manager (Underground Utilities) to lead complex underground utility and heavy civil construction projects from preconstruction through completion in the Fairfax, VA area. You will own budgets, schedules, procurement and contracts while coordinating with owners, engineers, and subcontractors; travel may be required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction project management experience, preferably within heavy civil or underground utility construction.
• Experience managing underground utility, water, wastewater, sewer, pipeline, or similar infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of project financials, including budgets, cost forecasting, cost control, change orders, and profitability.
• Experience developing and maintaining project schedules and coordinating project activities from start to finish.
• Ability to manage subcontractors, vendors, engineers, inspectors, and project stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of construction plans, specifications, contracts, and project documentation.
• OSHA 30 certification is preferred.
• Ability and willingness to travel based on project requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex underground utility and heavy civil construction projects from preconstruction through completion.
• Work on large-scale infrastructure projects involving water, wastewater, sewer, pipelines, and related underground utilities.
• Take ownership of project budgets, schedules, procurement, contracts, and overall project performance.
• Partner closely with Superintendents, Project Engineers, owners, subcontractors, vendors, and engineering teams.
• Lead project meetings and maintain strong relationships with owners and clients.
