Job summary

Pike Engineering in Fort Mill, SC is seeking a Project Manager to deliver small to medium-scale electrical substation, transmission, distribution, and communications projects. You will lead planning, execution, and closeout, coordinating scope, schedule, cost, safety, and quality while guiding client relationships and project teams.

The role requires strong PM fundamentals, engineering background, and proven leadership in a matrix organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent with PE preferred.
• Professional engineer licensure or PMP is a plus.
• Experience delivering utility engineering projects and managing client relationships.
• Proficient with MS Project or Primavera for scheduling and planning.
• Strong written and verbal communication across diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead project planning, execution, and closeout per PMBOK guidelines.
• Manage client and stakeholders; maintain trusted relationships.
• Negotiate contracts, manage changes, submittals, and approvals.
• Implement change control and risk management processes.
• Oversee EH&S and quality programs; ensure project compliance.
• Prepare estimates, proposals, and project financials.
• Provide status reporting to team, management, and client.
• Ensure timely invoices and maintain profitability and cash flow.
