Job summary

Velocity Engineering Services, LLC seeks a Project Manager – Structural Restoration Engineer to oversee repair and restoration projects from forensic analysis to construction completion.

The ideal candidate will hold a Florida PE or reciprocity, bring experience in repairing primary structural elements, and perform forensic assessments. Strong communication with clients and staff, and ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, are essential.

Qualifications

• PE license required or eligible for licensure by reciprocity.
• Experience in design of repair and restoration of primary structural elements.
• Forensic investigations and evaluating existing structures.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and manage several projects concurrently.
• Attention to detail and thorough reporting.
• Coordinate with engineers and interact with clients and stakeholders.
• Travel to sites; ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varied settings.

Responsibilities

• Manage repair and restoration projects from forensic inception through construction.
• Perform building forensic investigations and evaluate damage.
• Conduct structural analyses of existing structures.
• Prepare plans, specs, bidding and permitting documents.
• Develop technical and inspection reports and permit close-out.
• Conduct field observations during construction.
• Coordinate with staff engineers and supervise field inspectors.
• Assist staff with reports and proposals; review others' reports.
