Job summary

BL Harbert International is seeking a Project Manager for the Self-Perform Concrete Division in Huntsville, AL. The role supervises the APM, coordinates submittals, RFIs, material deliveries, and job close-out while enforcing safety and risk controls.

You will develop schedules, track progress, and manage costs using Primavera P6, Timberline PJ, Viewpoint, and related tools, with emphasis on coordination of trades and seamless owner/design interface.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in a relevant curriculum from an accredited college or university + minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
• Concrete construction experience strongly preferred
• OR 4-year degree in a non-relevant curriculum from an accredited college or university + minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
• OSHA 10 Hour
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word & Microsoft Excel
• Proficiency in Primavera P6 (or similar scheduling software/application)
• Proficiency in Timberline PJ (or similar project management software/application)
• Proficiency in Viewpoint (or similar AP software/application)
• Working knowledge of Navisworks, Revit, and SketchUp
• Mastery of quantity take-off & subcontractor solicitation to support estimating
• In-depth understanding of building components and trade sequencing
• Working knowledge of construction surveying/layout
• Working knowledge of contract language
• Basic understanding of risk management

Responsibilities

• Supervise all direct responsibilities of the Assistant Project Manager; in the absence of an APM, these responsibilities shall be handled directly
• Supervise submittal and RFI processes
• Oversee coordination of material deliveries
• Oversee job close-out requirements
• Support jobsite safety enforcement
• Develop and manage project schedules
• Track and report project progress
• Monitor and control project costs
• Enforce risk management parameters established by the Project Executive
• Manage change orders and support dispute resolution
