NY STATE ELECTRIC & GAS is seeking a Project Manager - Major Construction to lead multi-million-dollar projects across substations, transmission lines, and gas infrastructure. You will coordinate planning, design, execution, and closeout with internal teams, external vendors, and regulators.

Projects span multiple states and require tight cost, scope and schedule control. The role emphasizes risk management, detailed scheduling, and proactive communication with senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Ability to mobilize matrixed teams to deliver projects on time and under budget.
• Expert in risk management and mitigation plans.
• Development of cost-loaded, critical path project schedules and earned value reports.
• Expert in utilizing financial spreadsheets for data analysis, budgeting and planning.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with project stakeholders including departments, consultants, utilities, and regulators.
• Develop and maintain detailed schedules and risk management plans.
• Manage procurement efforts for design, construction, and oversight.
• Monitor progress with critical path and earned value methods and take corrective actions.
• Ensure project compliance with safety and quality processes.
• Present reports and cost-schedule-risk views to executives.
