Ames Construction, Inc. is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead large-scale mechanical construction efforts in the United States, leveraging a strong background in heavy industrial projects.

You will manage scope, budgets, schedules, safety, and quality across complex contracts. Based in Tucson, AZ, the role emphasizes leadership, cross-functional coordination, and a continuous-improvement mindset within a disciplined, safety-focused team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of experience in project management overseeing large and complex mechanical construction projects.
• 5 years of experience on heavy industrial projects preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Blue Beam, Outlook; knowledge of Procore Auto CAD, ECMS and P6 desired.
• Excellent time management and ability to prioritize workload.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with ability to interact with all levels of Ames' personnel, clients, and subcontractors.
• Problem solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work well in a group environment and foster a team approach.
• Highly detail-oriented.
• Must be self-motivated with a strong sense of urgency.
• Must have a valid Driver's License and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Lead the project team in the establishment and achievement of goals to meet and/or exceed estimates, goals and initiatives.
• Fully understand project specifications, estimate, budget, assumptions, inclusions, exclusions for contracts and suppliers.
• Responsible for ensuring project estimates, schedules, constructability reviews, value engineering, procurement, oversight and execution with safety, quality and environmental priorities.
• Maintain excellent relationships with team members, owners, engineers, consultants, subcontractors and the local community.
• Liaise with authorities and regulatory agencies.
• Prepare and negotiate change orders including processing and assessing cost and schedule impacts, and preparation of claims.
• Oversee weekly labor and equipment reports, and monthly progress/performance reports for owners/clients.
• Oversee the approval of all project invoices and daily time cards.
