Job summary

Rhoads Industries, a long-standing, family-owned leader in industrial fabrication and maritime services, seeks an experienced Project Manager for DoD-focused work at The Navy Yard, Philadelphia. You will lead cross-functional teams through all project phases, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery with exceptional client service. The role requires a B.S.

in Engineering or related field, 7+ years PM experience, DoD familiarity, and U.S. citizenship.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Engineering, Construction Technology, or related discipline.
• PMP certification preferred.
• 7+ years of experience in Project Management, Construction Management, or in a production facility.
• DoD or subcontractor experience highly preferred.
• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Familiarity with Oracle Primavera P6, MS Project, MS Dynamics, and Earned Value Management is a plus.
• Onsite requirement.

Responsibilities

• Oversees a team of Project Engineers, Superintendents, Foremen, and Project Coordinators to ensure complete and successful execution of project deliverables and contract requirements.
• Monitors and maintains responsibility for project budgets and budget projections; utilizes system reporting and earned value management to ensure projects are completed on or under budget.
• Develops, monitors, and updates all aspects of the project schedule with Planner/Scheduler and Project Team; includes activities, sequences, budgets, manpower, and planned start dates.
• Comprehensively reviews pricing, statements of work, drawings/specifications; coordinates bid estimating and submittal processes to ensure scope coverage.
• Ensures timely review and submittal of RFIs/CRs, project documentation, and contract deliverables.
• Leads internal and participates in external project meetings; provides direction to the Project Team and fields questions from stakeholders.
• Acts as a liaison between all Stakeholders to ensure information and changes are communicated and understood.
• Provides excellent customer service and builds relationships to promote follow-on work.
• Mentors, trains, and develops skills of Project Engineers and other Project Team members.
• Ensures safety is never compromised; supports safety program and participates in inspections.
• Delivers products of utmost quality; ensures drawing specifications are adhered to and customer requirements are met.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
