Job summary

Intertek is seeking a Project Manager for Construction Materials Testing in Oklahoma City, OK. The role leads project meetings, manages budgets, and ensures field testing and inspections align with ASTM and client requirements.

A strong background in construction materials testing and project management is essential. The position requires a Bachelor’s in Construction Management or Civil Engineering, 5 years of related experience, and the ability to obtain ACI certification within 6 months.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or civil engineering.
• 5 years of combined experience in construction materials testing and/or project management.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and project specifications.
• Valid driver's license with reliable record.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong interpersonal abilities.
• Familiarity with building codes and regulations.
• Must obtain ACI certification within 6 months of hire (Concrete, Masonry, Aggregate).
• Internal PMCP completion within 6 months of hire.
• Ability to lead and supervise others.
• Willingness to work off shift and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and attend project meetings and maintain client relationships; develop new project opportunities.
• Review project setup; prepare advanced proposals for internal and external review.
• Complete contract reviews and negotiations.
• Monitor project budget and initiate change orders.
• Review, prepare and submit invoices and test reports.
• Manage project close-out activities.
• Ensure field testing and inspections are scheduled and performed correctly; update clients on progress.
• Supervise field and laboratory personnel and provide training on testing methods.
• Assist with lab, field, and administrative duties as needed.
