Job summary

Actalent in Plainville, CT seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead complex commercial construction from preconstruction through closeout. You will oversee budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and client relationships on diverse projects across the Northeast, including healthcare and education sectors.

You bring 5+ years of GC/CM experience, a track record on $5–$50M projects, and proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, and MS Project.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Project Management experience with a general contractor or construction manager in the commercial construction industry.
• Experience managing commercial, healthcare, municipal, educational, institutional, government/public-sector, or wastewater construction projects.
• Proficiency with Procore, MS Project, and Bluebeam for project controls.
• Strong budgeting, scheduling, cost control and contract administration knowledge.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead commercial construction projects from award through closeout.
• Develop and update detailed project schedules and budgets.
• Coordinate subcontractors, procurement strategies, and resource allocation.
• Review drawings, specs, contracts, and scope for field execution.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation.
• Monitor costs and provide accurate financial forecasting.
• Hold regular meetings with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to align on next steps.
