Job summary

ENGIE North America Inc. on the University of Iowa campus seeks a Project Management Manager to lead utility infrastructure and capital projects, ensuring safe, reliable, and sustainable energy solutions for the campus.

You will oversee projects from development through post-construction and mentor a team of five to eight project managers. The role requires a Bachelor's in a related field and 7+ years of complex project leadership, with proficiency in Procore and MS Office.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Business, or a related field is required.
• Military leadership, engineering, construction, utilities, logistics, operations, or project execution experience is highly valued.
• A minimum of seven (7) years of experience managing complex construction, infrastructure, utility, energy, or capital improvement projects.
• Experience leading complex projects, teams, and operations, including mentoring and directing project management and/or construction management professionals.
• Experience managing project budgets, schedules, reporting, project controls, and technical project delivery activities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Procore, or similar project management tools.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills across internal teams, external consultants, vendors, and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a multidisciplinary project delivery team, fostering accountability and strong performance.
• Oversee capital project execution from development through post-construction, including scope, design, procurement, and commissioning.
• Manage budgets, schedules, risks, and controls while ensuring health, safety, environmental, and PR standards.
• Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, university stakeholders, and external partners to align objectives and ensure reliability.
• Support vendor qualification, contract negotiations, and fiduciary compliance with Legal, Finance, and Procurement.
• Maintain audit-ready project documentation and lessons learned for continuous improvement.
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement in campus utilities infrastructure.
