Job summary

Sunrun in Lehi, Utah seeks a Senior Legal Counsel to lead project financing deals, including tax equity and asset-backed securitizations, for distributed renewable energy. You will serve as an in-house expert, structuring, negotiating, and closing multi-million dollar transactions with autonomy.

You will collaborate with the Assistant General Counsel, guide due diligence, and provide strategic advice to executives while managing outside counsel under federal law.

Qualifications

• J.D. Degree from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in good standing in at least one U.S. state bar.
• Minimum of 4+ years of top-tier project finance experience.
• Strong focus on renewable energy financing transactions.
• Proven ability to independently drive complex, high-value transactions.

Responsibilities

• Draft transaction documents and manage closing mechanics for complex project financing transactions.
• Oversee legal due diligence and coordinate with business teams.
• Provide practical, high-impact legal advice to non-lawyer partners and executives.
