Job summary

Pape-Dawson Engineers Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer in New Braunfels, TX, to lead technical design and execution on residential land development projects. You will own deliverables from concept through final design, ensuring accuracy, constructability, and compliance with codes and standards.

The role requires PE licensure and a B.S. in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program, with at least four years of progressive engineering experience and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is required.
• Minimum of 4 years of progressive engineering experience.
• Strong understanding of engineering principles, design standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency with applicable engineering design and analysis software.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lead technical work, mentor others, and coordinate across disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and preparation of residential development projects.
• Develop grading, drainage, utility, and roadway layouts meeting objectives and regulations.
• Coordinate permitting and agency approvals for site development projects.
• Review and oversee work by engineers, EITs, designers, and technicians for accuracy and quality.
• Prepare and review technical reports, studies, and calculations using standard tools.
• Mentor junior staff and coordinate across disciplines to balance schedule and budget.
