Job summary

Suncor is seeking a Project Engineer to lead multi-disciplinary teams through all project phases at the Commerce City Refinery. You will coordinate scope development, execution plans, schedules, estimates and cash flows, and ensure procurement and installation meet specifications, cost, and schedule targets.

The role includes managing projects from $100k to $30M, collaborating with engineers, vendors and contractors, and supporting operations during commissioning and start-up.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering is required.
• Five to seven years of project engineer experience in industrial sector preferred.
• Project management proficiency and leadership in scope development, risk management, and execution.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute projects ranging from $100,000 to $30M in refinery areas.
• Provide technical support for design and construction of new projects.
• Lead development of all project deliverables and ensure milestone dates are met.
• Identify risks and develop mitigation plans throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement and Construction activities and stakeholders.
