Job summary

Pape-Dawson Engineers seeks a Project Engineer to join our Sarasota, Florida office and lead land development design from concept through final plans. You’ll work with project managers, designers, engineers, clients, and public agencies to balance technical excellence, constructability, budget, and schedule.

You’ll mentor junior staff, review work for quality, and navigate permit processes while advancing meaningful projects that shape Southwest Florida communities.

Qualifications

• Lead and perform engineering design for land development projects from concept through final construction documents.
• Prepare plans, specifications, reports, calculations, and cost estimates compliant with codes and standards.
• Coordinate with project managers, designers, engineers, clients, and regulatory agencies.
• Mentor junior staff and provide technical direction.

Responsibilities

• Review work prepared by engineers, EITs, designers, and technicians for accuracy and quality.
• Support project teams in meeting quality, schedule, and budget objectives.
• Communicate engineering concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Represent the team in meetings, coordination efforts, and regulatory processes.
