Job summary

High Rocks First2 Network at Fairmont State University seeks volunteers to lead outreach to incoming students in STEM and to develop a campaign in collaboration with the university's Communications and Creative Services teams. Volunteers will act as project managers for selected First Generation initiatives and support program operations.

You will help coordinate the First Flight 2027 program, gather feedback from 2026, assist with program design, communications, and staff training, and track

Qualifications

• Experience in outreach campaigns or program support is preferred.
• Ability to collaborate with Communications and Creative Services teams.
• Wamiliarity with STEM education or first-generation student programs is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead outreach campaigns to incoming students in STEM.
• Develop and propose a campaign with Fairmont State Communications and Creative Services.
• Serve as project manager for assigned First Generation campaigns and initiatives.
• Coordinate the First Flight 2027 program including gathering and summarizing 2026 feedback and aiding design, communications and staff training.
• Support ongoing operations of initiatives for first-generation STEM students and track mentor:mentee interactions.
• Support STEM council meetings and coordinate SciTech Fall social.
