Job summary

Amtrak is seeking a Manager, Project Controls - Schedule to lead scheduling and progress measurement for a large capital construction portfolio across Washington, DC, Wilmington, and Philadelphia. This role may act as Master Scheduler and develop dashboards, cost and resource reports, working with Sr.

managers to integrate cost forecasts with schedules. The position requires 7+ years of relevant experience, a Bachelor’s degree, and proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, and Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required or equivalent combination of training, education and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Plus 7 years of relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop, compile, and deliver project or portfolio performance indicators (KPIs), data, and trends using reports, charts, tables, dashboards, or other artifacts assessing project or portfolio performance to support management decisions.
• Performs review and analysis of contractor or third-party baseline and schedule updates, including constructability, risk analysis, critical path analysis, qualitative or quantitative schedule quality assessments, and/or delay and Time Impact Analysis as required.
• Manage projects or portfolio controls data in EPPM or other department-approved systems and tools such as Excel or Primavera P6.
• Develop processes and templates to support project or portfolio schedule control mechanisms in alignment with department objectives and enterprise standards.
• Work with Construction Managers to develop procedures for short term lookahead schedules (2-4 weeks out) to assist with near term planning.
