Job summary

The Middlesex Corporation, a leading heavy civil contractor, seeks a Project Controller in Norwalk, CT to drive the financial success of multimillion-dollar highway and bridge projects from pre-construction through completion.

You will lead project controls, reporting, month-end close, WIP, earned value, risk and change management, and ensure contract compliance while coordinating with project teams to align field progress with financial data.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in accounting/finance or related field.
• Experience in financial and data analysis.
• Proficiency with MS Office; advanced Excel skills preferred.
• Able to access construction site environments.
• Strong communication to all levels of the organization.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Lead project control functions and ensure policy compliance.
• Produce financial and executory status reports with stakeholders.
• Oversee month-end close, WIP, and audit preparations.
• Apply Earned Value Management and forecast accuracy.
• Coordinate with project teams on cost, risk, and cash flow.
• Manage invoicing and revenue reporting for projects.
• Ensure contract, subcontract and change order processes.
• Maintain organized documentation and timely communication.
