Job summary

Solid Rock Recruiting, LLC is seeking a Construction Controller for a Hartford CT area commercial contractor to own the accounting and finance function.

The role covers monthly close, WIP schedules, job costing, cash-flow forecasting, budgeting and financial reporting to ownership and project management. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required; CPA or CPA-track is preferred. This is a leadership role with a transition period from the retiring controller.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• CPA or CPA-track preferred.
• Experience managing full accounting function within construction.
• Strong WIP, job costing, and cash-flow forecasting skills.
• ERP/accounting systems proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly close and financial reporting.
• Manage WIP schedules and revenue recognition.
• Oversee AP/AR, banking relationships, internal controls.
• Coordinate with outside CPA firms and provide financial analysis for ownership and PM.
