Job summary

The Planet Group is actively seeking a Project Architect for a growing industrial architecture and engineering firm. You will lead the architectural discipline on nationwide projects, guiding design through construction with a focus on manufacturing, laboratories, and cleanrooms.

Hybrid work is available after onboarding. The role emphasizes mentoring staff, managing scope and budget, and coordinating cross-discipline teams to deliver technically sound facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in architecture; licensure preferred.
• 8–10 years of experience leading or directing architects or designers.
• Strong skills in Revit, AutoCAD, and 3D modeling.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate the architectural discipline across projects.
• Own discipline scope, schedule, and budget and report progress to the PM.
• Lead discipline team on projects as assigned by the Practice Leader.
• Direct building system concepts and documentation from schematic design through construction administration.
• Review documents for technical accuracy and quality.
• Prepare schedule and budget tracking for the discipline.
• Conduct code research and material/product analysis as needed.
• Attend and lead project meetings; coordinate with other discipline leads.
• Mentor staff and interns and manage task delegation.
• Ensure timely project delivery within a team-based environment.
