Job summary

Swords to Plowshares is seeking a Lead Program Monitor for the Safe Haven program at the Fairfax Hotel in San Francisco. The role supervises the program monitor team, maintains incident and shift reporting, and ensures rules and wellness policies are followed.

You will screen visitors, manage front desk operations, and coordinate with the Mental Health Specialist for staffing while attending daily huddles. English fluency and crisis management skills are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of four (4) years' experience of oversight of front desk duties within a residential hotel or treatment setting.
• Experience supervising a team is preferred.
• Experience with veterans and issues impacting people experiencing homelessness.
• Commitment to helping homeless veterans regain independence.
• Professional communication under pressure.
• Experience with de-escalation and crisis management.

Responsibilities

• Provide weekly supervision to include weekend staff, routine training, timecard approvals, and annual reviews.
• Screen visitors, enforce policy, and manage sign-in/sign-out.
• Maintain front desk, supplies, and required paperwork.
• Submit daily sign-in logs to Veterans Health Administration as directed.
• Complete accurate daily shift and incident reports.
• Respond to emergencies and coordinate with emergency services as needed.
• Attend daily huddles, staff meetings, and trainings.
