Job summary

Rivian is seeking a Lead Program Manager for its Purchasing & Supply Chain team in Irvine, CA. The role focuses on strategic initiatives that reshape purchasing and commercial strategy, using advanced data models to inform cost estimates and negotiation approaches.

You will partner with global teams to drive should-cost improvements and supplier performance, reporting to the Director of Global Supply Management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Supply Chain Management, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related quantitative field required.
• 6+ years of technical program management, supply chain, or strategic procurement experience within the automotive industry preferred.
• Advanced data analytics, financial modeling, and cost structure breakdown experience.
• Strong knowledge of purchasing processes, RFQ/RFP structures, and commercial negotiation mechanics.
• Proficiency in data analysis/visualization tools (Excel/VBA, Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Python).
• Experience with AI/tools to accelerate analytical workflows and cross-functional data synthesis.

Responsibilities

• Manage high-impact, cross-functional purchasing initiatives with executive-level reporting.
• Conduct deep-dive cost estimate analyses and build analytical models of supplier quotes and CBDs.
• Develop data-driven negotiation strategies using should-cost outputs and market trends.
• Standardize RFQ data analysis processes and benchmark supplier proposals across commodities.
• Build and maintain dashboards and databases to track program progress and cost-saving initiatives.
• Present statuses, risks, and financial trade-offs to executive leadership.
