Commonwealth Fusion Systems is seeking a Lead Production Technician to head a fast paced, hands-on team building world‑leading high temperature superconducting magnets for fusion devices in Devens, MA. The role emphasizes continuous improvement, schedule adherence, and quality documentation across multiple engineering disciplines.

The position covers the Second Shift (2:00 pm–10:30 pm) with a focus on safe operation, teamwork, and delivering precision magnet assemblies for our devices.

Responsibilities

• Lead a fast‑paced, agile team building high‑temp superconducting magnets and assemblies for fusion devices.
• Continuously improve production tasks and workflows to meet schedules and resource plans.
• Ensure product quality and compliance with documentation and procedures.
• Work with mechanical, electrical, magnetic, cryogenic, pressure, vacuum and pneumatic systems.
• Cover the Second Shift (2:00 pm – 10:30 pm) and maintain safe, efficient operations.

Join the power movement as a Lead Production Technician

The Lead Production Technician at Commonwealth Fusion Systems is responsible for leading a fast-paced and agile team building the world’s strongest high temperature superconducting magnets and assemblies for integration into CFS fusion devices. The role is responsible for continuously improving production tasks, maintaining schedules with resourcing, and assuring quality requirements are met per documentation. The technician team is a hands‑on build team working with mechanical, electrical, magnetic, cryogenic, pressure, vacuum, and pneumatic systems.

This individual will cover our Second Shift which will be 2:00 pm - 10:30 pm.
