Job summary

International Steel and Counterweights is seeking a hands-on Production Supervisor in Youngstown, OH to lead daily manufacturing and shipping operations. You will supervise production teams, resolve floor issues, and ensure safety, quality, and productivity goals are met.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of supervisory experience in steel fabrication or manufacturing, with welding (MIG, 3G) and CNC/plasma cutting familiarity. Strong leadership and communication are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of supervisory experience in manufacturing.
• Experience in steel fabrication, machining, or production environments.
• Knowledge of welding (MIG, 3G preferred).
• Familiarity with CNC oxy-fuel burning and plasma cutting.
• Understanding of production workflows, job setup, and equipment.
• Experience with shipping and receiving processes.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, Excel).
• Ability to work flexible shifts.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily production, welding, and shipping operations
• Serve as the first point of contact for production issues
• Assign work and monitor team performance to meet production goals
• Manage employee attendance, timekeeping, and staffing levels
• Train, coach, and develop team members
• Enforce company policies, including safety and discipline procedures
• Inspect materials and equipment to ensure quality and functionality
• Promote a safe work environment and enforce PPE requirements
• Identify and report safety concerns
• Participate in team and safety meetings
