Job summary

Martin Marietta is seeking a Production Supervisor to coordinate daily production, maintenance and quarry activities at our Houston area plant. You will lead an hourly workforce, ensure safety compliance, and drive efficiency to meet production targets.

The role requires strong supervisory skills, budgeting acumen, and knowledge of MSHA regulations. You will partner with the Plant Manager to schedule repairs, implement preventive maintenance, and develop self-directed teams.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising hourly workforce in plant, manufacturing or mining environments.
• Knowledge of MSHA regulations and compliance.
• Experience with budgeting and cost control.

Responsibilities

• Direct supervision of an hourly workforce in production, maintenance and quarry duties.
• Assist Plant Manager with scheduling and timing of repairs to equipment.
• Assist Plant Manager in implementing and managing preventive maintenance programs.
• Monitor daily plant operations to ensure production and QC standards are met and take corrective action.
• Ensure safety rules/regulations are followed by all supervised personnel.
• Develop empowered/self-directed work teams across all operation phases.
• Conduct annual employee reviews and evaluate performance, recommending merit increases.
• Administer disciplinary actions when necessary.
• Coordinate staffing with Plant Manager to safely operate the plant.
• Oversee development and training of personnel, cross-training and growth.
