Job summary

Wolverine Advanced Materials LLC in Blacksburg, VA is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead manufacturing operations, drive safety, quality, and efficiency on the production floor. You will supervise up to 20 employees across shifts, coach operators, ensure standard work, and deliver target performance with accountability and integrity.

The role emphasizes building strong teams, adhering to procedures, and applying lean principles to eliminate waste while meeting production targets and quality

Qualifications

• Associate degree OR 2-4 years related supervisory experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong problem-solving ability using data, observation, and root cause thinking.
• Willingness to work 8- or 12-hour shifts, including nights/weekends as required.

Responsibilities

• Set expectations clearly and follow through consistently.
• Coach operators and develop a capable, confident team.
• Ensure adherence to procedures, specifications, and standard work.
• Maintain an organized, audit-ready work environment.
• Manage labor, resources, and shift flow to meet production targets.
• Apply lean principles to improve processes and eliminate waste.
• Collaborate with supervisors across shifts for alignment and continuity.
