Job summary

Linde Gas & Equipment Inc. in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Production Supervisor to ensure safe plant operations, schedule cylinder gas production to meet demand, maintain stock levels, and supervise staff with fairness to promote motivation.

The role requires knowledge of regulatory agencies (FDA, DOT, OSHA, EPA), strong communication, and solid computer skills; you will lead safety meetings and drive operational efficiency on the 3rd shift.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of science preferred; high school diploma or GED required
• At least 2 years of supervisory experience, or 1-2 years cylinder processor-lead experience
• Production or distribution experience required; industrial gas industry or equivalent preferred
• In-depth knowledge of cylinder gases and processes
• Familiarity with regulatory agencies including, but not limited to, FDA, DOT, OSHA, and EPA is required
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with customers, employees, and management
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft applications, Lotus Notes and CU
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively

Responsibilities

• Ensure plant operations are performed safely and compliant with regulatory agencies and Linde policies
• Schedule and coordinate cylinder gas production to meet customer demand, maintain stock levels and monitor raw material deliveries
• Maintain the facility’s appearance, image, and security, while providing job training, supporting employee career development, and supervising personnel fairly
• Drive productivity initiatives to maximize plant capabilities and improve efficiency
• Manage day-to-day employee activities, conduct accident/incident investigations, and complete all required reports with accuracy
• Support efficient distribution of products while maintaining professional interactions with internal and external customers
• Respond to emergency calls, conduct monthly safety meetings, assist with SOP implementation, and monitor proper usage of plant assets
