Job summary

Mead Lumber Company is seeking a Production Shift Supervisor in Hays, KS to oversee daily manufacturing operations, coach employees, and ensure safe, efficient, and on-time production. You will help with material handling, training, and lean improvements while coordinating with management and design teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing operations, scheduling, and quality control.
• Proven leadership and training abilities.
• Ability to coach, train, and develop employees.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Proficient with basic computers and design/manufacturing software.

Responsibilities

• Plan and prioritize daily production schedules based on workload and deadlines.
• Assign workers to stations and adapt as needed during shifts.
• Monitor production efficiency and quality to meet goals.
• Assist with material picking, cutting, staging, and inventory tasks.
• Educate, coach, and train employees to improve performance.
• Enforce safety and quality policies across the shift.
• Train new staff and provide ongoing development.
