Job summary

Altana AG in the United States seeks an experienced production planning leader to manage the planning and scheduling group, developing production schedules to meet customer demand. You will coordinate with customer service, procurement, material handling, manufacturing and logistics to execute the schedule.

The role requires a decade of relevant experience, SAP/ERP savvy, and strong communication skills. You will lead weekly planning sessions, maintain SAP master data, and drive process

Qualifications

Degree in supply chain, business, or equivalent experience.
10 years of planning/logistics/production management experience.
SAP or ERP/MRP system experience.
CPIM or CSCP preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Well disciplined, organized, and structured.

Responsibilities

Plan and schedule production to meet customer demand.
Coordinate with customer service, procurement, material handling, manufacturing and logistics.
Lead and develop planning team to meet organizational needs.
Create and maintain SAP master data and procedures for production planning.
Be ERP/MRP super-user.
Identify and implement process improvements to reduce waste and inventories.
