Job summary

Auxiliary Services Corporation in Cortland, NY is hiring a Central Production Cook Tier 5 to prepare meals from scratch per production sheets and recipes, plan daily tasks, and supervise student workers while maintaining safety and quality. Shift: Sunday–Wednesday 5:00am–2:00pm and Thursday 5:00am–11:00am (40 hours).

You must lift up to 100 lb, stand long hours, and work in temp-controlled environments; ServSafe preferred (within one year); High School Diploma or equivalent preferred, strong

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Three years of professional institutional cooking experience.
• ServSafe certification preferred and must be obtained within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Take proper food and equipment temperatures.
• Prepare food from scratch following production sheets and recipes.
• Plan daily and weekly production tasks, defrosting, marinating, chopping and mixing.
• Direct and assign daily tasks to production staff.
• Review waste, inventory, and equipment temperatures.
• Maintain cleanliness and safe handling in work areas.
• Assist in ordering food items and support nutritional menu planning.
• Ensure production is ready by mealtime and adjust as needed.
