Job summary

U.S. Pacific Fleet is seeking a Planning and Estimating Team Leader to coordinate and review, and write technical work specifications for ship shop trades. You will assess workloads, determine resource availability, and perform parts research to support maintenance and repairs.

You will coach Planners, develop estimates and material requirements for scheduled availability and emergent tasks, and plan work packages to ensure complete execution details.

• You will perform parts and material research to include utilizing various online logistics research resources and publications.
• You will provide coaching, guidance, mentorship, facilitation, and oversight for all Planners under the Planning Division section assigned.
• You will develop work specifications, estimates, and material requirements for scheduled ship availability periods and emergent work for the accomplishment of ship maintenance and repairs.
• You will plan work packages and verify completed Planning section work packages to detail all aspects of job planning and execution requirements.

• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

• This position may require work in confined spaces.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Analyzing, developing, and coordinating work specifications, estimates, and material requirements for scheduled ship availability periods and emergent work to support ship maintenance and repair.
