Job summary

Ericsson in Plano, TX seeks an AI/ML architect to guide the design and use of AI in Core Networks across the Americas. You will build AI agents, data pipelines, and production-ready solutions with engineering and field teams, and lead small squads through pilots to production.

You will define data controls, monitoring, and safety safeguards, ensuring solutions align with customer operations and governance. Collaboration across distributed teams and multi-domain expertise will be essential.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience building, deploying, and operating production AI systems, including LLM-based apps and AI agents.
• Ability to write and review code in Python and to work with AI agent/workflow tools and cloud environments.
• Experience with Kubernetes, GitOps, CI/CD, and cloud-based network functions.
• Knowledge of customer data controls including access, location, retention, masking, and governance.
• Experience delivering in large enterprise IT environments with multiple teams and layered governance.

Responsibilities

• Build and deploy AI agents, data pipelines, and reusable solutions with engineering and field teams.
• Take agents from pilot to production by developing evaluation methods and improving reliability.
• Decide which delivery steps should use AI, redesign, or remain unchanged.
• Define shared vs domain-specific data and knowledge, and set quality expectations.
• Establish data sources, formats, and customer data controls for access and masking.
• Work with customers and Core Networks specialists to reflect operations and connect with customer systems.
• Set safeguards for automated actions, including policy controls and human review where needed.
• Raise risks, dependencies, and platform needs early with recommendations.
