Job summary

Plaid is seeking an experienced security leader to drive architecture reviews and threat modeling for high‑priority products. You will work with engineering and product teams from early development through launch to identify risks and define robust mitigations.

This role focuses on authentication, authorization, data protection, and the implications of AI-powered features. You will influence architecture decisions and help scale secure design patterns across Plaid's platform.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in product or application security with design focus.
• Experience leading design reviews and threat modeling.
• Deep knowledge of authentication, authorization and data protection.
• Ability to read code and analyze vulnerability paths.
• Experience with cloud-native security considerations.

Responsibilities

• Lead security architecture and design reviews with eng and product teams.
• Conduct threat modeling and security assessments of complex apps and APIs.
• Evaluate authentication, authorization, data flows to identify vulnerabilities.
• Review code and validate fixes address risks.
• Assess security implications of AI and new tech.
• Partner with leadership to prioritize risks and mitigations.
• Define reusable security requirements and secure patterns.
