Plaid is making it easier to connect financial accounts and build secure financial tools. We are looking for a Product Security professional to lead architecture reviews, perform threat modeling, and work with engineering teams to reduce risk across complex applications and APIs.

You will evaluate authentication, authorization, data protection, and business logic, guiding secure design decisions and ensuring fixes address root causes. AI-enabled product security is a focus.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years of experience in product or application security, with strong expertise in secure architecture and risk assessment.
• Experience leading security design reviews and threat modeling for complex applications, APIs, or distributed systems.
• Deep understanding of authentication, authorization, trust boundaries, data protection, and vulnerabilities.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals, including reading code and evaluating fixes.
• Experience securing cloud-native architectures and understanding security implications of design decisions.
• Ability to communicate complex security risks and influence leadership.
• Independent work style with the ability to collaborate across teams.

Aufgaben

• Lead security architecture and design reviews for high-priority Plaid products with engineering and product teams from development through launch.
• Conduct threat modeling and security assessments of applications, APIs, distributed systems, and workflows to identify risks.
• Evaluate authentication, authorization, data flows, and business logic for vulnerabilities and abuse cases.
• Review code and validate that fixes address underlying risks.
• Assess security implications of new technologies, including AI-powered features.
• Partner with engineering leadership to prioritize risks and track mitigations.
