Job summary

Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems LLC in Avon, OH, is seeking a Supervisor, Product Quality Engineering to lead the quality teams for electronics hardware, software and mechatronics across the trailer product group. You will drive advanced quality planning and champion robust design practices to meet safety and performance goals.

The role requires strong leadership, hands-on experience with DFMEA, ISO standards, and agile project management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Computer Science, or Mechanical Engineering.
• 5–8 years in quality, electrical, or mechanical engineering.
• 1+ years in automotive hardware/software product quality and development.
• ISO 9001 TS16949 and understanding of software methods (ISO26262, ASPICE, SEI CMM).

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach Product Quality Engineers in Agile environments.
• Identify risks in hardware/software projects and plan mitigations.
• Support PDC Gate process and quality reviews from feasibility to launch.
• Apply DFMEA to identify safety risks and ensure robust design.
• Communicate status, risks, and scope to stakeholders regularly.
• Travel domestically and globally up to 15%.
