Descript is hiring a Lead Product Manager for the Narrative Editing team. You will shape how users capture, edit, and perfect their stories, integrating script-first editing, recording, writing tools, and AI regeneration features into end-to-end video workflows.

You have 5+ years leading product teams for creative or workflow tools, focus on customer discovery, and thrive in ambiguous problems. This role blends cutting-edge AI with a collaborative team, and offers hybrid/remote opportunities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of product management experience shipping creative tools or workflows.
• Strong customer discovery experience to define features that solve real problems.
• Ability to design intuitive experiences for complex end-to-end workflows.
• Attention to craft and detail in product quality.
• Ability to work in a quirky, collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop a deep understanding of customers and guide the editor roadmap.
• Infuse Descript's taste for great video into interactions and defaults.
• Expand editing capabilities with frontier AI by partnering with AI Research.
• Own recording, script generation, and translation flows in Descript.
• Ensure Descript scales reliably for larger teams and complex workflows.
