Job summary

Great Dane is seeking a Product Engineering Manager in Nebraska to lead engineering decisions and supervise design activities for custom trailers. You will train engineers, manage BOMs, perform analysis, and coordinate with Manufacturing and Sales to meet customer specs.

The role requires a mechanical engineering background, 5+ years of manufacturing experience, and strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills to drive product improvements and procurement decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Minimum 5 years of manufacturing experience.
• Proficiency in 3D modeling tools and MRP systems.

Responsibilities

• Train engineers in product design, BOMs, and structure analysis.
• Review and approve BOMs and production drawings.
• Make day-to-day design decisions with Manufacturing.
• Determine material specifications for procurement.
• Lead cross-functional teams and manage relationships.
